Don't know exactly which variant I need. I guess anything 12V/CDI will do. Whether I want electric start, I don't know*. What have you?

I want it for a 1993 Honda Dax ST50, that some boy-racer fitted a 70cc JingCheng motor to. I would prefer a proper Honda engine in there.

I got the original Honda 50cc engine with it, but I'd rather be able to pull more than 30mph. And it is hauling 16 stone of me, so I need the raw power of the full 90cc :)



* - The Dax carburettor inlet tract is angled backwards, as opposed to the C90's forwards. On the Dax the carburettor sits where the electric starter would be on the top of a C90 motor. Maybe I make an electric-start Dax, and have the carb and air filter poking out forwards? Maybe the starter can be removed and a different side case fitted to cover the hole, which would enable me to keep the original look? All advice gratefully received.

(I have the original Honda Dax 50cc motor, believed OK, if anybody wants it.)
