The 'C' model (12v, round headlamp) came in all three sizes. C50C, C70C and C90C.
They were the first 12v bikes, made from 1982-84 (X to A reg*) and used exactly the same frame, with enclosed fuel tank as the later square lamp model, but still had the older round-lamp handlebars and a metal rear mudguard.
Sidepanels and front mudguard were suitably roundy-styled but different to the old 6v ones.
They came in two colours - plain red or plain blue. (similar shades to the late 6v ZZ models)
The seat was much shorter than the older 6v or the later sqaure lamp 12v, and had white sides stitched in.
Short rear shocks, mounted outboard of the swingarm had white trim instead of chrome.
The front headstock cover (between mudguard and headlamp) was white instead of frame colour.
They're a very practical choice, as the frame and running gear is just like the modern square-lamp Cub.
A C70C, yesterday.
*Honda didn't stop selling old stock when a new one came out, so you will also find 6v 50/70/90ZZs as late as A reg and square-lampers as early as Y-reg!!!
There was also a fully-automatic vesion of the C50C, called C50LAC.
PS... for a bit of anorak background - the frame used, although new to the UK for the 12v change, wasn't actually new.. Honda had been using it since 1970-ish for the Asia-only C70 Deluxe and the USA-only C70 Passport.
6v C70 Deluxe for Asian market.. mid 1970s.
6v Passport for US market.

Hi Matt. What's your budget? I have a 1978 C90ZZ which I've kind of fallen out of love with and want to sell. It gave me a load of grief - just about fixed it now, but we're just not friends anymore. I just finished rebuilding the engine and replaced the exhaust and a load of other bits, so it owes me a bit of money, but it's a good bike and totally solid underneath (which a lot aren't).

Re: C90 wanted please
had a slight change of plan after watching a few that have sold
so decided to go for any model even a later square type as they are more of them about,12v and cheaper/similar money for a much newer bike
my budget to start with is £400
bump
