HI I used to ride my Honda 90 for many years on my car driving license with L plates up.
I have not ridden it now for some time and would like to get back to using it.
I have been trying to make sense of the new DVLA regulations as they apply to bikes.
What do I have to do to be able to get back on the bike and ride. I still hold a full car license
Practical advice please
Barry

Hi Barry,
If you passed your car test a long time ago then the following rule applies:
Be aware that a 90 is not a moped (neither is the C50 unless it's marked as MOPED and they are always fully auto) so it's a small motorcycle.
If you find a local CBT training establishment I'm sure they will be able to advise fully, you should be able to use your own bike for this (or they will offer 'school bikes' in either manual or fully auto).
I'm prob the least qualified to answer as I passed my test back in the days when you rode around the block 3 times and the examiner jumped out with raised clipboard for the emergency stop bit.

Re: riding a Honda 90
Take your CBT, usually about £100 for a day course, then you are good to ride for 2 years on L plates with a C90.
If you passed your car test before 2001, you can ride a moped (has to say MOPED on the V5) without a CBT or L plates, but moped Cubs are pretty rare.
Happy riding!
