Honda sh125 rear suspension seized?

Post by Wuyang » Sat Jun 17, 2017 5:45 am

Ok...had a sh125, 55 plate,,,8000 miles apparently, 4 owners delivered by courier yesterday. Seller never mention rear end not rising up and down.....will it just be the shocks that are shot? Or could it be something else.....seized bot or something?

Thanks

Most lightly the shocks take them off and see if the engine is free to pivot

I'm betting it's a bent strut on one of the rear shocks.

Was it ratcheted down hard for being couriered?

Previous home I a camper van and yes couriered.....when you pull the scoot up onto the centre stand it stretches out the springs to as it should be, but take off stand and sit on it and they compress back down and stay there,,,,,back on stand stretch out again...I think your right it may have been done while couriered.

I thought as much!

Wemoto have some YSS ones in stock at the moment, though you might find cheaper ones elsewhere.

Managed to get the same ones as you pointed out, but all black...had yss on one of my innovas a while back and they seemed to be decent shocks.
