Honda C90 Paint. Code PB121 (Blue)

Post by kaybal2 » Thu Sep 23, 2010 1:35 pm

Hi,from Wales.
I'm restoring a 1987 Honda C90M cub. It had stood unloved & uncared for, for over 10 years.
The wheels hadn't turned nor had the engine run in all this time, but with less than a couple of hours spent cleaning, fresh petrol etc, it burst back into life and runs very well. I am however in need of some paint. It's a blue colour and the code on the petrol tank says PB121. I've searched the internet to dead ends, so any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you all in anticipation.

Hello, & welcome!
Use the search facility to search paint in the bodywork section, plenty of info there, here's one of my contributions...

Try this:

Never used them, but found it with Google.

Hi Newtsalad & Norm,
A massive thanks for those leads on the paint. I'm on to it straight away.
Kind regards,
Ken.

Any luck Ken? I am trying to source this Shuttle Blue as well... how is it? Does it match the original?

I started a similar topic back in February when looking for Shuttle Blue in South Wales. Was delighted with service from Brooks Paints. Check it out:

Me? Not Wales... Coventry.

I went with RS moto paint and they've supplied the lacquer as well. Will try it on a small panel and see how it is. :)

Hi I've spent the last couple of months on a rebuild of a C90, fabricating new sides / mudguard etc and the last 5 days on the paint from acid etch up to base coat (clear coating starting this afternoon!) taking a spectro reading off the paint we came up with Toyota - Lexus 'light purplish' as a near match, as it was slightly light to my eye I added a tiny amount of black to the 2K paint before spraying. I've uploaded pics to Twitter (same user name) and will upload shots once the bits are clear coated :-)
