This now takes pride of place in my garage. I'm sure if the clock was wound back a few years the owner may have hung around but (hope I'm not out of turn speaking on his behalf) age and health meant this was a short membership as the seller had a relative posting in the hope for someone enthusiastic to restore to a former condition. He told me every other prospective buyer suggested they would be breaking the bike for spares  He had owned it since 1968. We discussed value and agreed on a fair price for both parties.

I am keeping his family up to date with my progress as I promised I would. All though I'm not quite sure what they make of it as it's currently sat in tubs, one for chromers, one for paint, one for mechanical work etc etc ;)

£250. There is a bit of tin work to do but it'll make a lovely wee bike.
