Honda C70 1977 £350 Devon

Post by tstrainer » Wed May 18, 2016 6:50 pm

For Sale in Devon , Honda C70 first reg 14/09/77. Has a certain rough patina to it but runs and go's OK. It was my run to work bike for a year. MOT expired March 2015 but will pass another. Aside from the fact it looks Shiite the frame is 100% solid no rust, no filler. Forks have been changed at some point cos I can see yellow paint beneath the blue however the bike rides straight I'm fairly sure there is no frame damage. Engine is v good ,new clutch plates, burns no oil. Cyl head is the worst bit, plug has a helicoil insert ( which has never come out ) but there some wear in the cam bearing as when I rescued the bike from the scrapheap 15 years ago it had oil pump failure. Barrel and piston were new from Honda and have done about 600 miles. A later bottom end is fitted as I preferred the gear pattern. The original bottom end with matching numbers comes with the bike and has a rebuilt crank in it. It has had new brake shoes, points , condenser, chain and sprockets, front suspension links. If you looking for a 70 to use or restore you could do much worse.
£350 no offers, collection from Honiton Devon. Message me for pictures , Cheers , Tim.

No Jeck , It'll probably end up on Ebay in the autumn if not sold here.

Frame and V5 now sold. No offers Jeck. I don't think it overpriced and I'm not desperate to see it gone. I quite happy to be corrected on the price but I've seen a lot worse go for much more on Ebay.
