Re: 1977 Honda CG125
Ok bike wasn't ready for MOT. Did my final checks and needs splitpins, and the chain guard doing.
The chainguard was black, 2/8" covered outside and in, in grease and dirt.
I cleaned off all outside and scraped out only the excess of the inside.
Here are some pics of the final thing ready for MOT whilst I have 2min of sunshine.

Looks great Zippy. The original ally 3-line numberplate is a treat. I hate to see modern perspex ones on old bikes!

you know you say it's the last time, and hopefully this is.
I ended up doing the rear shoes also today, with tyres / tube/ tape.
It's booked into MOT for morning. Insured it today, fingers crossed.

Congrats Zippy, it was never in doubt Bike looks solid, and honest.
Very nice quality video too! was the camera expensive?
My new C70C has a manual box, like you, I may be unaccustomed

I do enjoy going through those tunnels.. Proper adventure for us woolybacks!zippy wrote:Time to go through Tunnel for some bits from Costco I do like toll free.
I always fancy nipping up that disused Rendel Street branch on the bike for a look, but I've never risked it.. I'm sure the tunnel police would be straight on the case with the CCTV but I reckon the worst they could do is chuck you out!

I was misfiring going through tunnel today, sure my tappets have freed up, really loud clanking sounds from engine.
Plug was brown, which is nice, and i'm gonna let engine cool down and then try adjusting them buggers.

Woolybacks
Place near me with tunnels and office mirror windows, you can hear the noise while you pose outrageously ........ great way to run into the back of someone

Pjam on my dax with the really nice pipe, sounds amazing going through tunnel
and you can potter without it being loud till you open up
We all know why tunnels are popular on topgear, and it's the same for me
