From the diagrams it looks like it is integral with the tank. Fitted in to a hole in the top of the tank.
A mere £270 for a new one :o

Its a separate part that sits inside the tank and is bolted to the top of the tank, so can be removed, also it doubles as the sender unit for the fuel gauge, it does have a fuel filter that is replaceable on the bottom of the unit, which sits on the bottom of the tank.

I would buy a second hand tank, (currently one on ebay for £15) cut the fuel pump mount off and use that in a custom tank, and keep your tank as is, so can be put back to standard if required the problem is the reach of the pump, although it does look like you could remove the filter and connect a piece of hose to the end of the pump to lengthen its reach then fit the filter to the end of the hose.

It would cost at least £200 for a custom tank, so it all depends on how cheap the bike is, I also think the wave would look great with panniers 8-)

Carrying a jerry can looks ever more appealing.

Seriously, unless intending to do a Newt and ride non-stop I'd look at converting it to single seat so you can access the fuel filler with luggage attached.

Been to look at the bike today. Reckon I can get it for 400 quid but it's an 2014 ex delivery Wave with 20k which was owned by the delivery company. So in theory it should at least have been serviced. Plastics are tatty but it rides well and isn't bent !!
Engine sounds well too.
Needs
Two tyres in 1000 miles
Rear brake shoes now
Front calliper stripping now
Chain and sprockets 1000 miles
Pair of mirrors now
Foot peg rubbers now

Should i or shouldn't i ?????

Any reason why it had to be photographed on a plastic sheet?

£400 is an excellent price! :D
