I gave the Ludix about 20 kicks today - without blocking the carb or intake rubber - didn't start lol!

Bloody french junk!

Yes looks much better to me for sure - was more difficult to install with the shorter length of cable than the lexus style light.

Did your recommended cold start routine today and bloked off the air box hose, no start. blocked off air inlet to the air box by removing the hose, no start.

Removed airbox and put my hand over the carb - bike fires up after a couple of kicks.....

Looks like my next purchase will be a manual choke conversion

If you feel the need to go back to an electric automatic choke, here's a cheap link!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251624326332? ... 26_rdc%3D1

Less that £4 with postage! ;)

From my experience that's a bit like saying, "If you decide to go without brakes, here's some cheap boots with durable soles." :D

Ordered the manual choke conversion from eBay last night it might even be here at some point tomorrow!

Once I've got that sorted out, I'll see about getting an MoT arranged for the scooter.

Took it out for a quick spin but get the feeling there's some minor misfire or roughness today....

Is the throttle really just an "on and off switch" on these CVT bikes?
