Honda C90-E engine for sale.
Honda C90-E engine for sale. I bought this end of last year as a working engine, although it didn't fit my model of cub so didn't have a chance to fire it up. The engine turns over easy, exhaust studs intact, it all seems solid. One slight bit of damage evident - a metal lug on the base of the engine next to the oil nut has been damaged at some point, i poured some oil in and left it for a while with no leakage so it doesn't seem to have cracked through the casing. Original gear lever included. According to my Haynes manual, the C90-'E' was produced between February 1984- Sep 1986. £90 ovno.

Hi, I had one of these c90e an 1984 one in the mid 80s. It was fantastic on fuel, I've always wanted to know the difference in the engine to the standard one. Anyone know?

This is not a post 1984 engine. It's pre '83, 6 volter.

Just because the engine number starts C90E- etc. does not mean it's from a C90E, the engine number of which would start HA02.
This is likely from A C90zz.

im 30 miles from Newhaven and im going to the 90 run in east Anglia so im willing to pick it up and drop it off at the run for a cup of tea

wanted to ask why do you think it didnt fit yout c50 cub?
i have a 12v 1995 c50 cub,and i want to put a 85 cc engine.
the mounting holes are the same,so why it will not fit?

Hi, The above link to the c90 engine, is a 6v c90 engine, it is not a 85cc 90 its a 89cc 6v c90 engine, it will not fit a c50 6v/12v, c70 6v/12v or a c90 12v frame.

c50 6v c50 12v cub, c70 6v c70 12v cub, and c90 12v have the same engine mount holes, but the early 6v c90 as the one in the picture has mounting holes in the wrong place,
