Not sure if the holes through it would make it stronger, I liked the use of bits of sprocket as braces though. I wouldn't want to ride it, being a hardtail and with minimal padding for a seat. All credit to the guy, a good rolling ad for his skills (not his rolled up jeans though!) :D
