Are super cubs welcome??

Post by Bolton » Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:18 am

Hi all. I’ve just got back on a bike after a 5 year break and it’s good to feel the wind in your hair/ears/helmet?!
I have had a bit of a stiff neck on the first few rides which I don’t remember getting a few years back. Hopefully it’s just me getting used to a new seating position and not old age setting in (I’m only 48). I did have an old c90zz 6volt bike about 6 years ago which I completely renovated. I’ll post some pictures if that’s a thing (I’ve not really used a forum before). I wouldn’t mind doing some modifications to my new bike in time and any ideas or recommendations would be welcome. I’ve got the matte grey 2022 version.
Thanks
Matt

In reality, we're a small bike forum.

Even if the fabled 80% of content is based around the ubiquitous 12v C90, there's still 20% that isn't.

Is the C125 a Cub? Of course it is. Numbers of C125s on the forum are on the increase, and non-Cub small bikes, too.

48 is quite young, by c90club forum standards.

8-)

Welcome Matt,

I think the C125 seat attracts aches & pains (and the lack of fat on my arse that seems to have migrated to my belly doesn't help)

Hair on my head hasn't been an issue for years but for the love of god why does it come out in your ears & nose instead :ugeek:

As for modifications I added a GIVI rack which allows the pillion seat to be have MOD bags strapped across & camping kit. (& very occasionally Mrs 125) not strapped across I hasten to add

Folk myself included have noticed the centre stand, brake pedal etc suffer if you ride all year & are worth removing/painting/powder coating

Death star grey is a marmite colour I love be it but bugger me boot marks show easily.

Welcome. You don't say where you are from, it's a good idea to put your location in your details, you never know who's down the road. :D

Being pedantic (as I am, occasionally) all C models are Super Cubs, from 1958 onwards.

Yes, very welcome. 😀👍.
The C125 is just the latest evolution of the original Cub. Even the 12v 1980s and 90s ones have a lot of modifications from the 1958 ones!!
The new C125s are just in the timeline of the Cubs.
Cheers Andy.

I'm an ex Harley owner, as is DieselDave. Newtsalad still has one ( he might have several, even he doesn't know how many bikes he has.)

Hahah brilliant :D

Newt can count just fine.... he's just embarrassed to say just how many bikes he's got! It's nice that Harley owners have respect for a decent bike :o
