Hello from Suffolk

Post by Bobby90 » Wed May 24, 2023 1:14 pm

Hi,

I grew up with many people around me having c90’s, I never had one and never rode one.

Now I’m older and having owned bmw touring bikes etc, supermotos and other bikes, I’m not looking at buying my first c90. I considered a ct125 but as they are not in the U.K., c90 it is.

I’m surprised at the prices, some are £3000+. I’m looking for a red one with the Rickman steen, rack and box, just what I think looks best, I may be wrong though and Iike the idea of the Rickman rack to add soft panniers is my reasoning.

Anyone in Norfolk or Suffolk or clubs, would be great to join a meet up 😊

I know someone with a few CT125s for sale. And if you look at the East Anglian ride out down the page there is something going on this weekend ;) .

Welcome Bobby90

Just over the border from you in the Essex badlands but at least once a week (when here) ride to Sudbury or Bury St Ed' for a cup o' splosh and sticky

Also bimble along the A2 cycle route.

Take your time and the 90 you desire will turn up but consider a C125 as a modern homage and far more sensible money IMO.
One just went on eBay for £2300 which was so good I nearly went for it

The C125 is a much more capable bike in modern traffic. It goes and even stops, and if it goes in the dark you can even see where you are going. It’s got 4 gears,ABS with front disc brake and LED lights.Only cons are a hard seat and no kick starter. The hard seat can be corrected and it’s easy to bump start if the battery is low.Oh and some people don’t like the keyless ignition.
Here’s mine,I love it.

I think it's sold. I'm just waiting for Herrod to confirm. I'm letting it go cheap.

I do like the red, white and blue cub. Any issues or upgrades? Also, can you put a dual seat on it and pegs as my wife would want to come out sometimes too?

Thanks for the welcome, Diss is around 25 miles from me for the weekend meet up.

Limited number of upgrades unless you shop in Japan or Thailand/associated Asian markets but pillion seat and pegs can be bought

The death grey 2022 model (marmite colour) comes with dual seats and upgraded payload by a few kilos
