I know the sensible thing is to wear full motorcycle gear, I'm neither big nor clever for not doing so. I didn't realise that would be the focus of my post
.... I'm now the owner of a C90, which makes me very happy but I'm no mechanic but very keen to get my hands dirty
People's posts always get hijacked a bit
You'll be surprised how many will go out of their way to help with any Cub problem, but don't forget the "Search" button as well to troll through the archives.
This is a very helpful, friendly forum.
You'll love the Cub.
Where are you exactly?

As Knapdog says you never know where posts will end up, it's part of the attraction of the forum and you will notice that there are very few unhelpful or negative posts or replies.
Sounds like you have a C90E, in case you don't have the Honda Workshop Manual you can download it from the following topic. The dropbox link in the second post should work. If it doesn't then drop me a PM and I can email it in 4 parts.

Ditto to the ATGATT. Having binned a C90 at around 30mph in full bike gear I hobbled away with a twisted ankle. My gear was trashed from boots to lid.
ATGATT ? Apologies, I was brought up with a "Wireless" and black and white telly.
All the gear all the time. Enjoy the wonderful world of the C90 and it’s eclectic owners they are are fab bikes. Oh and the owners aren’t too bad!

A bit ...
Ironically I think that Barker's original comment was more about the biblical rain and the requirements for waterproofs than ATGATT.

An early G then. Not a lot of difference from the E, different indicators and rear lamp spring to mind, can't think of any more at the mo.
The manual is fairly generic anyway and is a good reference for early 12v bikes.
