If you are finding it difficult to change gear the clutch needs adjusting ;) .
The lever is also the clutch pedal so wind the revs off ,push down all the way and bring the revs back on as you release the pedal.
If the bike wants to pull away with the pedal all the way down in first it is the clutch.
Hey thanks for the help i have adjusted to clutch after a some monkey had jammed to inner to the outer nut and it is much better, different bike now. I had a new issue today when i had the missus on the back (she is only 8st). The rear wheel is off center and rubs on the inner arch causing the tyre to melt i have "adjusted" the inner arch so that it isnt as bad now, but i want to resolve it. The rear wheel is free running no binding at all im wondering if the spacers that have been used are wrong for the year or what ever, or is this normal? (cant be?). I think the Myford ml7 might help here, i might turn up some new spacers or buy them depening on cost /time saving.

thanks everyone for being so welcoming i dont think there is a forum out there that is so friendly. :P

There's marks either side of the swing arm where the axle goes through usually used for tightening the chain. Make sure they are both on the same notch.

If you look at the CMSNL site they have exploded diagrams of all the parts so you can see if anything is out of place.Google CMSNL classic motorcycle spares Netherlands ;)
A set of new shocks would help keep your rear end up :o

Hey thanks for the link! i have had the wheels off today and checked the diagram against what i have and its the same. The rear tyre was a 3.00 17 which didnt help at all i have new shoes on her now i went for some conti go's they seem good so far i have only taken it for a quick ride nearly had an off riding around a car on a slippy patch, i shall take it a bit easyer for a while just cant help zooming around with ease. The rear end seems fine with the new tyre now just a tad one sided?
