enduro bike project

Post by fazey » Wed Dec 21, 2016 11:07 am

Hi thanks for the add.
Bought this bike for the plop enduro (well 4 of us have)
Didnt really want to ruin a good road bike so we bought this in bits.
Lots of bits but all over the place, started yesterday looking at the front suspension and trying to work out what i needed. a look around all the bits, i realised we were missing a few. took me all afternoon to work out the front suspension but got there in the end.
(New bushes and bolt kit ordered.
The bike came with a yx 140 engine so this will have to go, i'm looking for a c90 engine if anyone as one for sale or swap for the yx140.
Anyway a few pics of the ongoing project
Think i may need you help.

You might struggle in scrutineering with the engine on the bench in the second picture ,they have tightened up a lot :D

sorry i dont know what a kepspeed frame is. im assuming its a c90 frame. guess thats the trouble when you buy a box of bits.

i bought last night off of ebay a engine on a whim because it was cheap.
i think maybe i shouldnt of been so hasty.
anyone help with the year of this model c90e-216017
im guessing this is a 6 volt 89cc model. and no use for enduro ?

somethings not right, that picture of the frame is a later 12v model but the number you quoted is for a early 6v 90. it should start HA02E...XXXXXXXX and not c90e

can you post a picture of the underside of the frame, so we can inspect the welding on the joints to see if its a kepspeed. replacement frame

sorry i think i'm confusing the issue
The bike frame is a 1989 model
The engine i bought off of ebay last night on a whim for £50.
I take it that the engine will not fit the frame is this correct ?
