This is following a couple of coats of 2k 'clear coat'
Basic paint steps on this restoration (customer had got a replacement frame about 20 years ago.... but a LOT of that frame had major loss to rust!, hence a significant amount of sheet steel fabrication/shaping and TIG welding over the last two months got it to the stage about 5 days ago for paint....)
Re-Shot blasted to rust free steel - Acid Etch '1k' primer - some 'Bondo' smoothing along all the TIG welds - 2K high build primer (several coats/rubbing down) - several base coast mix of silver/Skoda blue - several coats 'light purplish' with a touch of black to darken to close match to Honda 'shuttle' - several layers of Clear Coat

PS the 'me' pic was from Sunday's paragliding while the latest layer of paint was drying!
PPS I'm based in Tayside/Dundee, this work was done for a long time customer of my friends m/c & scooter shop

Excellent. A stage that most restorers like to see done well.

Trying to post image link from my BlackBerry so hope it works!
Pleased with the colour match on the plastic mudguard and steel swinging arm.
