HONDA C90 YEAR OF MANUFACTURE

Post by tomaisin » Fri Sep 04, 2015 5:09 pm

Hi, Can anyone help me with the year of manufacture of this Honda C90 that I am restoring. I bought it in a fairly bad state although all the frame and wheels were in good shape. The Frame number is C90-5114849 . It had no date on the wiring loom. I think the bike is in the range 1975 to 1980 but I could be wrong. It looks exactly the same as a Honda C50 -1976 that I have.
Also what type of exhaust did this model have as there was none on it.
I've tried to attach a photo but the file size is too big.

Welcome to the cub club.. there is a how to post photos above here ,but they have to be hosted elsewhere ,somewhere like photobucket.
The C90 before early 80s was 6 volt and no parts swap with the 50,70 or 12volt 90 ,the front spindle is 12 mm on the 6 volt 90.all the rest are 10mm.
Edit in ...

Plus it would be a cigar shape exhaust ;) for a C90Z2.

Hi,
That narrows it down to about 1976/7. The battery is 6 volt. Round headlight.
Thanks for the help. Really appreciate it.
