New to group, near Cardiff
Hi, sadly never had a c90, but fell in love with street cubs.
I think they look so amazing and would like to find a c50 for a little project??
Look forward to hearing and meeting people similar minded.
I ride a 50cc neck abruzzi, but love the idea of street cubs,
I like the idea of turning something ordinary and making it look special
See you all soon and thanks for letting me join your club.
Stephen

Welcome .Why limit yourself to 50 cc as a c50 is a motorbike you may as well go to 90cc ,and no you can not ride a C50 on a car license .

I have a full car licence, what can I ride? *
With a full car licence having passed pre-2001 you are eligible to ride a moped (50cc Scooter) without the need for any test or training (C.B.T). You are also allowed to carry a passenger and do not need to display ‘L’ plates. Having past your driving test post-2001, a C.B.T will need to be carried out.

Re: New to group, near Cardiff
thanks for the welcome, I'm sticking to a 50cc for the reason of not having to do any tests like knapdog says.
I've had this discussion many times regarding cbt's and even L plates etc.
I'm actually up the valleys a little, nearer newport, but always around cardiff eating out and enjoying cuppas. Lol.
my ride is a neco abruzzi (damn out correct)
diolch yn fawr pobl
(im a slow welsh learner, no one to talk to)

As I said you can not ride a C50 on a car license. The engine size is nothing to do with it so you will need a CBT and L plates.
There are a few bikes that have MOPED on the vin plate and the speedo goes up to 40mph but not many are out there.

A C50 isn't a moped.

Re: New to group, near Cardiff
I believe a moped is a motorcycle under 50cc
perhaps this is why some are restricted, to slow them down to 31mph to meet the criteria?
further investigation is needed before i start my street cub then...
thanks to all
it seems the laws look a bit vague

Good luck.
