Thanks Jack! You lads made good time, I did my best to catch you!
I can only just about muster my enthusiasm for the Dragon this weekend, sod the Nordkapp.... ;)
I want to go this weekend though as there's a few chums going and it'll be good to catch up.
Did you cop that snow across the Autobahn at Frankfurt? I nearly bottled it and holed up, but as soon as I started going downhill I thought I might get out of it!
What time did you cross on the ferry?
Cheers!

Yep, snow in Frankfurt and gale force winds between Dunkirk and Calais, we got to the tunnel by 1300 ish... I got home early evening... As for the Dragon, seems like a fair bit of money for not a lot in return... have a frosty one on me pal.

Nice one Jack, you were a good seven hours ahead of me then, you must have been doing a fair turn of speed, and not stopping much, mega respect given the cold.
Ya, the Dragon was, to revive my earlier analogy, like comparing a Spanish carnival with a British. In the former, they have proper bands and the costumes look like they come from a Spielberg film. The latter, and the retard gets to bang the drum and pissed twats parade in costumes made from binliners and cornflake boxes they made the night before.
The Dragon site was a sweet and pretty site away from the madding crowd, an ideal situation.
The merchandise was good value too, a proper embroidered hat a fiver, compared with 16 euro at the Elefant, a nice T shirt also a fiver, again compared with 16 Euro and not anywhere near as good.
However. All the pipes froze. It was minus 4. All the shitters stopped working, and there was no water on site. Not good. TBF, all the Conwy MCC peeps worked bloody hard, and all in all, it was OK.
When you off to work then?
Regards!
