Tea Hut Epping
Spontaneous blast out on the C125 meeting up with my mate on his KTM.
Decide to take in some Byways Ongar way which sadly are now mostly metalled roads due to destruction by the 4xbore brigade
After no planned direction ended up at the Epping Tea Hut (must have been pre COVID for my last visit) & still takes cash only but fortunately we had both found change about our jackets
Good selection of modern & vintage present also a Kymco Downtown (16 plate) which iirc used to be someone on here or associated that racked up mega miles (@Capitano) but theirs might have been on a 14 plate.
Anyhow a nice 112 miles down mostly through TOWIE back lanes

Re: Tea Hut Epping
Bill Dog and Genie from Modern Vespa owned those Downtowns. They both attended when we had a mass Maxi Muppets & c90club meet up there, that Richie organised.125erCrazy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 4:46 pmSpontaneous blast out on the C125 meeting up with my mate on his KTM.

Both moved them on, but Bill Dog has just acquired Genie's old one.
So, it was either Bill Dog on Genie's old Downtown, someone else on Bill Dog's old Downtown, or someone else on another.

I haven't been out to the forest for two years now. Oh how I miss my little bimbles on Ruby out to Connaught Waters.
They're charging for parking out there now. Bloody daft. Connaught Waters is a popular fishing pond but not much good if you're time restricted by the parking fees.

High beach, the mad mile, setting of from Tottenham on a Sunday, arriving at the tea hut for a bag of cheaters and to watch the cars and bike fly round the triangle ( when it was open ) 1980s... wow. And to Chelsea Bridge on a Saturday night.

I used to live in Tottenham too. I'd go to the forest via the Angel in Edmonton or Waterworks Corner, Woodford sometimes.
Late 60"s early 70's for me.

Strangely enough I was thinking of running over to High Beech sometime with the (old) boys but this would probably be midweek. As Leiba says it was Aug 2021 when SouthendMike and I met her there.

Will do, also might pop up to Abberton Reservoir on Wednesday or Maldon Hythe, not been to either for a while.125erCrazy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 9:51 amShout out if you set a datebikerbaker wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 9:31 amStrangely enough I was thinking of running over to High Beech sometime with the (old) boys but this would probably be midweek.
