Slightly off post but France related.
Some friends of ours bought a place in Normandy in Fougerolles du Plessis. When clearing out an old barn, hidden in the corner under decades old bales of hay they found boxes of wwll ammunition stashed away by the Resistance .
They thought it prudent to inform the local gendarmerie as a matter of urgency. They agreed to
to turn up and dispose of it as it may be dangerous and unstable, and did...........a week later.
