touring Australia' s NSW south coast on a C50
Now this happened a long long long time ago...in a land faaarr faaarrrr awaaayyy.
the tale I am about to relate is true and only the names have been changed to protect the guilty!
The year is 1974, the town Oatley NSW, the plan go touring on my newly aquired C50 Honda (purple and yellow as I recall)
I strapped a tent, a bag containing a can of baked beans, a spoon and a tin opener ( none of them flash 'ring pull' cans back then, you know the ones that cut your nose when you try to drink baked beans cos you didnt bring a spoon).....
Well that's another story..........back to the past...get yourselves a nice cuppa tea and a biscuit and settle into your favourite armchair as I'm about to tell a tale that will amaze you......comfy?

Gday Sheldon, how far did she get?......that sounds to me like you think she may have done the Monty Python parrot trick and expired during my merciless thrash.
Like. 17 yr old on his 50cc stepthru riding a Walter Mitty 750/4 through Sydneys Royal NAtional park with at the time an unknown destination.
Funny thing is I still ride that way, never know where that front wheel will take me.
Come to a division in the road do a mental heads or tails.
No I dont even do that to be truthful.
I just ride wherever.
Riding is the key
Its the Journey not the destination
Bet a lot of you know what I mean hey?
We Ride!

Re: touring Australia' s NSW south coast on a C50
Was a fine sunny typically Aussie day as I topped off the fuel tank then headed south in my trusty C50, a misspent youth and avid reader of motorcycle magazines, I'd recently read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintentence and was off in search of a dream.
Sydneys Royal National Park is legendary with motorcycle riders its twists and turns hairpin switchbacks is a mecca for riders
surrounded by bush the road makes its way from Sutherland to Stanwell Park.
In my mind I was riding Hondas famed superbike the CB750/4
As I scraped pegs through the tighter bends and relished in the punch of 49cc powerhouse out of corners.
