just back from my 6th run iv gone to this year (so far) it was in the west of ireland in a town called sligo and was organised by local honda 50 club (ox mountain honda 50 club)
i set off at 8 am in my car(sligo is 230 km from my house) and made it there in 2 hours 45 mins
not bad timing as not all milage is motorway miles.there are some towns still not bypassed and if lucky you dont spend much time passing through them.
my cub 90 is brought to all the runs bya guy who has a van with a tailift and its handy for me just to hop in my car after a run
and drive home in comfort(except the athboy run 3 weeks ago when i drove there and back 147 miles in total for the day)
we unloaded the bikes and i started mine up (on 3rd kick)and took her for a little spin around the carpark,then it was off to registar(25 euro per run) and grab a cup of tea and a sambo.
i usually go around and look at all the bikes most of which i probely would have nevere seen before as most people only go to there local runs and never travel to one!!!!
i take pics and record footage for my youtube channel (birdman404)and then we take off for 60 miles of countryside stopping along the way for petrol and coffee!!!
when runs are over we head back pack up the bikes and go in for more food!!!!
and usually a raffle takes place for best bike worst bike and person who has travelled the furthest(theres always someone further than me)if you want to see some on board cam footage of yesterdays run check out my channel @birdman404
