Excellent photo's Boo :D excellent story too! One witch (it's usually women int it!) is described as an old woman of 4 score years, 50 years as a witch. !!!

Is the '1612' cut into chalk? ................. If you take a route from Lentwardine to Rhayader, you may have noticed a '1953' on a hillside, it's brown Larch against a background of something like Douglas Fir.

I thought from a distance it was maybe cut into the peat and limed (no chalk round here - it's all millstone grit) ..but when I got close it's actually made from polythene sheet, rolled up and pegged to the ground. Very temporary! :D
I've always come the Newtown way to Rhayader, and that, the Aberystwyth or Devil's Bridge way out, so never seen the 1953.

Bugger. :( Hope you're OK Steve.. Easy to end up with broken bits (of human) at 0mph!

Apparently the '1' has blown away, so it just says '612' today. :)
