steering parts please.

Post by dread » Fri Nov 04, 2011 2:01 pm

ok guys, have any one got parts hanging about doing not a lot

all the little parts, i thinking. 9.10.12 43 6.6. 43. 11.

unless some one out there has a set of taper roller bearig they can micrometer for me please. the ones out of cg copy are slightly too tall. thus i have fork judder, or if i tighten up, i just pinch the bearings, either one is a fail on the mot.

so i bought some 3/16 bearings. but they with out cups and washers ect. are useless, as obviously they are just lost inside thetube top and bottom.

probably better to buy original parts, they aint that dear and will be good for 1000s of miles. if you have all the main metal pits already, i.e. the forks, brackets, bars, covers etc.

no bolt is covered cheerz. the ball bearings are 3/16 yes, i bought a couple of caged sets. but i have no cup and covers washers ect. so making it really hard to sort the cg forks as the the roller bearings for them are probably 2/3mm to big top and bottom.
so if you do have a set from bottom to top be great cheers. ;)
cause i don't get is the frame head inner is bevveled top and bottom. to place the bearings in. but i don't see a corisponding washer type thing. to put on after balls, to hold them in.
so if any one is planning on changing their out over the weekend. please a pictorial. so i can visulise it. as i have a terrible time learing by reading. i'm one of them touchy feely people.
