Just acquired a Yamaha v80 as an alternative to another cub. Looking for a few bits if anyone has anything kicking around: handlebar cowls, leg shields, rear / side panels, front mudguard. Think any V50 / 75 / 90 stuff will fit?
The rear fender has been chopped so was thinking of adapting a 12v cub plastic rear muddie to fit, so if anyone has one of those too?

I used to have a V50 and a v80 about 20 years ago. Sold them on because I wanted to concentrate on 4 stokes / 12volt and also standardise my 'fleet'.
Don't think I have anything left.... will have a look.
The same as the Cubs though:-
Early ones.... round headlight.
Later ones.... square / rect. Headlight.
The plastic panels are very different between them! Especially the handlebar area. The speedo, light units and other bits all changed.
They're all 6 volt. They were a bit of a 'parts bin' bike. Lots of the parts, light fittings etc were from RD's and fizzies and other bikes current at the time. What year is yours?
Don't know if you're aware..... Suzuki did an FR range of 'step thru's'. The Townmate replaced the V range.
Anyway, good luck to you and your V80, get that exhaust cleaned out with caustic soda, nice that another is being saved and loved.

Hi again, I've just had a quick scout on eBay.
I was quite surprised.... how much V range stuff on there!
New leg shields.... as with some of the Cub stuff though, if pattern parts... buyer beware!

Yes, I have been scouting the bay and seen some bits. I have the original speedo (2100 miles from new!) headlight, switchgear and the ignition on the original ‘bars, but both upper and lower cowls are missing.
It’s a 1981 (W plate) with a square / rectangular headlight.
I do like my 2 strokes and have a couple of RD’s so this fits into my fleet.
Leg shields will be off ebay, yes.
Because the steel rear mudguard has been chopped, I will probably fit a 12v C90 plastic one as the originals are unobtanium and it will look something like and possibly a 12v front muddie too as they look all but the same.
We had a V50 field bike (think that was an M reg 1974?) – which we chopped everything off – wish I could get it all back!
Grateful if you have anything left over.
