front shocks
Hi, can anyone point me in the direction of some new front shocks for my C70 (1972) please?

Re: front shocks
Make sure you know what the top fitting is, in case they have been swapped in the past.
They should be the awkward type secured by an M6 nut vertically inside a hollow in the leg (these tend to be a real pain to remove when rusty and covered in mud).
There were replacements available on eBay a while back, stronger springs and under-damped but better than worn out originals.

Re: front shocks
You're not kidding, they were an absolute pig to remove, and in doing so, my mate mangled the threads
hence the need for replacement. The intention was to take them out in order to be the outer frame treated
and powder coated, but it looks like an expensive job!
Thanks for the advice, appreciated

I've got a vietnamese set in the shed, should be as new, they were no better than the worn out originals. I'll dig them out if you want them. Also I'm not too far from Baglan.

Hi Pete
There's a good chance of me being in your neck of the woods tomorrow, if not next weekend.

Re: front shocks
Just checked, yup still got them and they are almost as new. I did a lot of experimenting with different springs etc. all to no avail, I eventually fitted a set of later forks.
I'll take whatever you are happy to pay.
PM sent.
